You can setup and deliver your slides in one of two software programs – Microsoft PowerPoint or Apple Keynote. (We unfortunately don’t allow Google Slides or Canva, both have technical issues with auto-advancing slides.)

Instructions for PowerPoint (or see this video):

  1. In the top navigation bar, locate the “Transitions” area.
  2. Locate the “Advance Slide” area. This area has two options: “On Mouse Click” and “After: XX:XX”.
  3. Check the checkbox next to “After:”, and then finally, set its time input field to, for example 30.00 for 30 seconds, or 15.0 for 15 seconds.

Note: you can do this for each individual slide, or you can apply these settings for all of them at once by clicking the “Apply to All” button.

Instructions for Keynote:

  1. In the top right of your window, look for the word “Animate” and click that.
  2. Look for the dropdown below the “Start Transition” label. The value should currently be “On Click”. You want to change it to “Automatically”.
  3. In the input field below the “Delay” label, put in the number of seconds you want that slide to play for.

And if you want, you can bulk edit these settings for all of your slides at once by highlighting all of the slide items in the left window pain before editing those settings.
